I have this cooking now! I decreased the water, honey & soy by 40 grams each as I didn't have enough soy so hope it's still ok!

Edit!
This was yum! I put some Singapore noodles in the bottom of the thermoserver then drained the sauce from the chicken, chucked the chicken ontop of the noodles then whacked the temp up to Verona, added a little more cornflour & reduced the sauce for 5 mins. Made it extra yummy! mixed it all together then sprinkled with the seeds. Next time I'll reduce the honey by a smidge.

I have been wanting to try this for a while..  I altered it slightly and used
600 g chicken
1/2 cup frozen peas added towards the end of cook time
1/2 cup bamboo shoots
And a large handful of raw cashews.
I used slightly less honey about 100 g and a combination of dark soy, light soy and kepap manis (sweet soy)
Oh I also added 1/2 red chilli deseded at the beginning with the ginger and garlic. 
I won't be eating tonight as I am out...I hope they like it 😄

Oh my gosh! How yum is this! I have to stop using the word yum around here! I use it way too much! Left overs packed up for son's lunch for a few days :)

I added carrots, spring onions and red capsicum too :)

Made this again tonight but used thigh instead of breast and it has turned out nice. I couldn't believe how much fattier it was though  :-\

NF, I prefer thighs to breasts in this type of dish but I spend 1/2 hour removing the fat from a packet of thighs - it is worth the effort but is very time consuming. Not all the fat is visible, there is a little pocket of fat that hides beneath the flesh but it is not safe with me around  :-))

I like thighs better too but find the de-fatting fiddly so lately I've been using tenderloins, just cut in half, they work well in this dish.

I spent ages cutting the fat off. Funnily enough the thighs shredded and the breast didn't!

Thats odd NF, I would have expected the breasts to shred and the thighs to stay in pieces. That has been my experience anyway ???

You are very patient and dedicated Judy - I try to defat the thighs, but get fed up quickly and cant be bothered.  I end up wasting good meat because I chop it off with the fat in frustration.  I would gladly pay more to the butcher (or anyone) who defatted the thighs properly for me.

Hey thats an idea for a home business for you Judy - you could sell defatted chicken thighs and make a fortune  :D :D :D
