Recipe Review - Potato Curry Pge 76 A Taste of Vegetarian
« on: May 31, 2011, 05:21:10 am »
Looking for something to serve with my last piece of leftover roast beef and found this recipe.  I made 1/2 recipe, reduced curry powder to 1 tspn, used 1/8th tspn dried chillies, 1/2 tspn turmeric and didn't have any black sesame seeds.  Used ordinary potatoes and perhaps cooked them a couple of minutes too long but it was a very flavoursome addition to roast beef leftovers.  If you don't have this recipe book, you will find the recipe here on the RC forum.  We both enjoyed it but it would have been far too hot for us if I hadn't reduced the spices.

Was that a rib-eye roast Judy? Yum!
I haven't made this potato curry yet, so will try it. Thanks for the tips.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Made this today, used potatoes, eggplant & spinach as I didnt have carrots & beans.

Very nice. It makes a lot, tm jug full. I took mc iff and used basket to stop splatter as 1/2 way through cooking I thought there was too much liquid :)
