So many posts to read.
« on: June 06, 2011, 03:36:47 am »
 :o :o :o :o
I haven't been here for 5 or so days and OMG I have so much to read. I need to sit down for at least a day. DD is on call at the moment (this is 4th day) so needs the computer to check things when she gets calls, hence I can't use it if she is here. Fortunately for me she has had to go in this morning so I've grabbed some time.(it's a public holiday here today)

I had a lovely cooking day with Termite yesterday but really should get down to all the ironing created by the washing I brought home. I love holidays but not the washing it brings.
When we left Perth we were wearing shorts and t shirts. When we returned 5 weeks later it's jeans and jumpers. At least it has rained.
WE have had a solar electricity thing put on the roof and of course I spend time watching that. DH has also bought ANOTHER Model A so he is madly trying to make room for it. Must read some posts before DD gets home and needs the machine. I prefer this to my netbook as I can read the print much easier and the keyboard is larger.
I do love the forum. I shared my created book of recipes from here with a couple of people when we were away. They were amazed at the lovely recipes, so thanks everyone. :-*

Welcome back Cookie, you are lucky really as we have had some fairly quiet days on the forum lately.  You only have to miss a couple of days though and it means a good sit down at the computer with a coffee or 2 to get through them all.

It's fun reading it all though and finding lots of new recipes.  :'( :'( :'( I'm having lots of trouble getting the forum to accept my replies though. It takes ages and ages. :'( :'( :'(

Hopefully you will work out why you are having problems Cookie, in the meantime maybe just read and don't bother trying to answer anything.  Slow computers are so frustrating and sometimes the next day they work perfectly.

I too have just settled back down again after being away for a couple of weeks and although I tried to keep up with the forum whilst I was away, there was still a good 'backlog' of messages to read.  I've only been on the forum for approx. 7 months and even in that time the number of posts on a daily basis has snow balled - when I first joined, if you missed a day or two there wasn't such a lot of catching up to do ... different story these days!
