Just want to say hi to everyone. Just join the forum after I had eat thru my very first TM demo last week. The experience is indescribable. Don't think I can hug the consultant... and the TM is still a bit hot after cooking the last batch of myer lemon custard...

All silliness aside, I found the TM as magical as I have heard about it for for last few years and from reading this forum briefly, this is a lively and exciting and friendly place too.

My next step is to look at all the different competing models of TM and TM look alike and convince my wife that I should get one.

I am studying up on the forum to see how I can convince my wife now... LOL.

I am based in Sydney Australia and I am having a cold today. And I love someone else's TM.

Hi pigflying, welcome to the forum.  Did you take your wife to the demo?  I'm surprised she is a bit hesitant if she went along with you.  Do your research by all means but nothing will stack up to the TMX - it is expensive yes but the technology used to manufacture these machines is the best!  It even has a black box - when mine went away for repairs they were able to tell me it had done 2500 hours of work in less than 2 years.  People are still using their machines from the 80's so that speaks for itself.  Good luck with convincing the wife - keep browsing the forum, you won't find too many negative comments. Let us know your decision in the end.

Love the name, pigflyin. Is that in reference to what your wife said when you suggested getting a TMX  ;D

That's certainly what my husband said.. I talked him 'round in the end though & he can't believe the transformation - in me & his meals.

Certainly, do your research, but as JD said, you won't find anything that compares. It is quite frankly the best.

Look forward to hearing how you state your case to DW.

Wow JD, 2500 Hours!! That's amazing.
And Pigflyin I hope you can convince the DW as it is the best kitchen gadget (Not quiet the right word) you will ever own. I have had mine for 5 months and just love it to bits. I would hate to go without it for more than a day. Definitely no regrets here. My DH was easy to convince because he loves food, he is constantly telling me to add more salt to my cooking so its not so nice so he doesn't eat so much lol.
Good luck

Welcome pigflyin. Your situation is a twist on the one most people have. Tell your DW you will make all sorts of wonderful things for her that are very healthy, also that you will do all the cooking. Good luck.

Hello Pigflyin.
Welcom, Yes we all have to pay high to "bring in the bacon" Having had various models of Thermomixes over the years, I never ever found any that compared. You may have to "trot" your wife over to another demo so that she can see for herself that there is just "snout" like it.

Sorry I couldn't resist the piggy puns.

Hello and welcome pigflyin!

I had to convince my other half that it was worth the money etc. and yes I did my research and found nothing that compared to the TMX.  Have had my TMX for only a few weeks and so far have used it daily, last night I felt like a Baileys and didn't have any so quickly mixed a batch up in the TMX, just because I could  :D

Best of luck and I am sure that you will be the owner of your very own TMX very soon  ;)

Thank you all for a very warm welcome to the forum!

I have been religiously reading up on all the great things that we can cook in TMX. I was imagining making my own nut butter and tahini.... mill my own chickpea flour, do my own creme brulee, make chillie oil, do my own spice mix, make nut milk....My imagination is running wild.

Love the name, pigflyin. Is that in reference to what your wife said when you suggested getting a TMX  ;D

LOL. Close enough. You should hear what my DW said when I was looking at a sous vide water bath. :)

last night I felt like a Baileys and didn't have any so quickly mixed a batch up in the TMX, just because I could  :D

Best quote!! You demonstrate often? cannot think of a smoother line than that.
