What do you mean by snapped? As in broken off?

Hi Meagan, I haven't seen it myself. I caught up with my friend last night & she mentioned it.. Apparently, it hasn't snapped right off into 2 pieces, but there's definitely a break & the bit is hanging off.
She's already bought another set & is fairly "Que Sera, Sera" about it, but she was just curious as to whether this is a common thing... I certainly hope not!!

I broke off the tip of my kitchen knife when I was trying to dice up some frozen solid meat to mince up. What was your friend doing at the time?

Salval, was the machine still under warranty?

The only time I have seen a blade damaged is when a customer blended a teaspoon in her bowl unknowingly. It was not snapped more like dented and the very tip of the blade bent
not a pretty sight. I can't imagine dropping them would be a major problem.

Aaarrgghhh!! I'd be so angry with myself if I'd left a teaspoon in the bowl!! Oh dear
..
JD, no not under warranty unfortunately - she ended up just buying another set... CP63, I'm actually not sure what she was doing. I didn't even think to ask. The way she was telling it, it wasn't a case of doing anything.. She noticed it when she went to use it next.
Oh well, I'm certainly glad it's not a common occurrence. She's over it all now I think

I've been trying to post to this but couldn't - don't know why.
Anyway Salval I've seen the effects of a teaspoon like Meagan but would be intrigued to know what she was doing when it happened - can't imagine what would have caused it to snap. Someone must have dropped it surely - just too chicken to own up to the owner possibly???
