I would have loved to have seen a photo Hally - it wouldn't have upset you if we had a good laugh would it  ;) ;)  It is all a learning curve, I haven't ever made these myself but I am keeping a list of all the fillings everyone suggests for when I do get around to it.

I took a photo to show DH how funny they were.

It's on my iPad but not sure how to attach.

Happy  you all to laugh with me, but not at me ;D

I have attached a photo of mine before they went in the oven today. Forgot to take one when they come out. Definitely need to lay them down on the tray. I should of mentioned this before. Sorry Hally.

Mine are just all mover the place, but theyntaste good, dont think DS is going to mind about even sizes and shapes, he will just munch his way through the big one. It's the fun Of trying too.

Thanks for the inspiration guys...have just whipped up some cheese & bacon, vegemite & cheese and strawberry jam ones for lunches....I figured I would do three batches, then there might be a possibility that some might make the freezer :)

I'm Glad he enjoyed them Hally, even if they didnt look quiet right. in the end they still taste great.
and Renlor that's a great idea to make several batches, maybe that's what I should do then some might make the freezer as well. (Worth a try anyway lol)

You can hide almost anything in them. I look at Bakers' Delight and see what they put in theirs and then do it at home.

Do other people give them a second rise after they are on the tray ready to bake or just bake straight away?

I do a second rise, find it squashed everything together  :D

We have been racking our brains to come up with all the fillings and have added

sweet chilli sauce and cheese
sun dried tomato and feta
spinach and feta

I know there are heaps more as I make them all the time and generally throw in what I have to hand  :)
