Hi from the Latrobe Valley

Hi, my name is Bri and I am a thermoholic... lol... thermomixoholic??? ....I love my thermomix!
I've never been a very adventurous cook - I'm not one of those enviable kitchen gurus who can just throw a few ingredients together and whip up something delicious, so this is the perfect tool for me! I've been enjoying trying out the recipes in the thermomix cookbooks I have, but my next frontier is to learn to adapt other recipes. Somehow I think I've come to the right place!

Hello Bri, aren't you lucky finding us - bet you thought you'd hit the jackpot like I did when I first stumbled upon this site. You are going to love your time spent on this forum - it is a completely unique place where all us TMX junkies share recipes, teach each other things we never knew (you are never too old to learn something new) and share interesting stories from time to time.
Here's
one site with some hints for converting recipes and
here's
another. It does seem difficult at first but doesn't really take long to get the hang of it. You must remember to write down every single step, don't trust your memory to do it later as you probably won't remember if you are anything like the rest of us. If you need any advice, just ask. You will find this is the friendliest and most helpful forum around. If you've only been doing recipes from the books, I suggest you try a few from the forum - there are so many to choose from and CP's list is a great place to start.

Welcome Bri. You are certainly in the right place if you are looking for thermomixaholics or whatever we could call ourselves. You will find yourself making so many things you thought you would never make. eg sauces, breads and goodness knows what.
