Chookie's box of goodies fron Fortnum and Mason.
« on: July 04, 2011, 11:56:30 am »
Today we rushed down to the PO to collect the box.  The courier, DHL,  would not deliver it to our home as we live on a dirt road. I know that there has been some interest ,  so I took some photos.  I hope I can post them.

Yes, CC,  thought I had chosen the ducks on the mug, but seems I chose the robins.   Had great fun unpacking.  Did you get the Photos that I sent ?

Absolutely gorgeous Chookie. I also loved the slate coasters.

I was also interested in the pink striped book. Might we get a glimpse of its contents, or better still get to make some of the contents?

Thanks for posting Chookie.....that's a good haul!
It must have been one heavy parcel  ;)

Your simply ices book intrigued me, and have  just bought it off Book depository for $9.10  (free shipping) ;)  If you thought it was a worth while purchase, that was enough recommendation for me  :P :-*

How much fun you must have had unpacking - probably more fun than purchasing as the decision making element has been removed!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing with us!!  :)  :)

CP 63,  the white things in the box in last photo,  are place markers.
Maddy,  what a buy,  I paid $20 Aust. for it.  I have 3 other icecream books,  but this one has some different recipes,  and all very simple.  When we had lunch with CC , her starter had a scoop of Basil sorbet on the plate.  Like all good 'foodies",  she shared a taste with me.  There is a recipe for this in this book.  I will certainly try this and post if successful .

Chookie what a marvellous treasure trove you have there. I especially love the jug and coasters. Thank you for sharing. I'm going to have a look at Book Depository too. DD buys a lot of books there and I think she mentions it on her blog about books.
