Hi from Perth!
« on: July 05, 2011, 10:53:44 am »
I'm eagerly awaiting my new Thermobaby (as I have been calling it at work!) which is due to arrive next Friday! I'm looking forward to having a whole weekend to trial my machine and produce some yummy delights to take into work and show off! If anyone has any suggestions for first recipes to make?

I'm very excited!

If your name is anything of a hint, cakes and biscuits take near no time to mix and cleaning up is a breeze! the torta caprese in the edc is easy and good, and the Luigi's aren't too bad either.

Hi petit4s, welcome to the forum.  If you check out the cake section on the home page, you will find plenty of easy cakes, slices, biscuits etc.  Have a bit of a read, some of the reviews will help you decide where to start.  You've got a few days to prepare yourself for it's arrival so you can print out some recipes, get the ingredients in and be ready to take a few plates of food into work on Monday.  ;) ;)  Have fun.

Hi Caketin and Welcome, (Love the user name)
I think cakes, biscuits and slices are the best place to start. The Bimby chocolate cake is so easy as it is throw everthing in and mix then its ready to pour into your Caketin, or they make great muffins as well. The choices are endless. Good luck.

Thanks for the ideas! I'm going to check out the cakes and slices! I can't wait to convert some of my current favourite recipes over so I can use the Thermomix with those as well.

Welcome caketin!  Keep the fridge well stocked for this week-end and plan to have a few friends around:  the TMX will allow you to cook so many dishes in a record time  :)

Hi caketin. I'll look forward to some of your favourite recipes being converted.

Welcome Caketin!  I've been struggling to resist baking too many cakes and goodies (so easy to do in the thermomix). I've thought of bringing them all to work to spoil the team, but have a feeling their hips won't thank me :D

What part of Perth are you in?
