Marina the kitchen shop is called "Let's Cook and...." I think. It is 265 Little Bourke St. One shop from the entrance to the Swanston Hotel. This is how I accidently found it a couple of years ago.
Thanks for the links to the banettons ladies. I think I may get another one. Round this time.

Cookie, is that the one near the back entrance of Myers and David Jones? They used to stock Teninas books there.

I saw Judy's post about trying to order something - before I'd even read what it was, I was ready to buy one too!!
I've seen them on Ebay as well.

The loyal proofing baskets (rattan and plastic) are distributed by Mcewen-taylor here in Australia. They bring in a range of sizes. If you want to have a look at their catalog it is
http://www.mcewen-taylor.com/Catalogue2013.pdf
. They have a contact link on their website that you can fill in and they will tell you who your closest distributor is. I have one of the round plastic baskets and one of the long narrow ones and they are very good. If you want a "cheaper" way of using a basket....I have a "bread" basket like you sometimes get bread rolls or fish and chips served in...I use it when I want a rectangular loaf...I either spray it with oil and then flour it or put a really well floured teatowel inside it. You can normally pick them up for about 3 or 4 dollars.

I succumbed tonight and bought a KA in expresso colour (chocolate) on TVSN. They had a "free" icecream attachment until sold out. I also bought a pasta cutting attachment and a slicing and grating attachment. My Chrissy pressie to myself. I now need to get one of my kids to sell the icecream maker and the Atlas pasta machine. (I suppose I could store them should one of the kids decides they will make use of them
this could be never, but I would kick myself if they did)

Could you use a plastic ricotta basket for proofing.
CP good buy.
CP Never store stuff in case of! Never works. If they do want it it will not be that model or colour. they want the latest and bestest and they want you to buy it for them! If the kids want an Atlas they will want the electric model. LO!
I want cheap cream too.
I tuned TVSN out of the television. LOL!
