Hooray, my T2 order finally arrived.  Their Free Shipping deal in November/early Dec was also to NZ, so seemed a perfect time to buy myself a Chrissie pressie.  But it took a bit longer to arrive than anticipated.  I've actually been in touch with them via email since before Xmas, and they thought it must have gone astray, so waiting to see if a "replacement" parcel has already been sent!  I emailed them first thing this morning, so it will depend whether they were super efficient and already sent it on Friday afternoon.
I have a real knack of starting tracking procedures with parcels just when they are about to arrive.  :-))

Anyway, I'm a happy owner of the 2L jug and a couple of teas for making iced tea - already have a jugful of Strawb & Cream in the fridge.

Not sure where to put this. Kinda shopping I guess.

This is probably a "duh" question but here goes ;D If you have one of the Tala biscuit barrels does the lid rattle? I'm presuming it's a stay fresh thing but wanted to be sure before I store food in there. TIA

I love the shopping Hally.

Gayle the lid does rattle but I am sure that is because it has crystals or something or other in there to keep they biscuits crisp. I am very impressed with it as it works beautifully, except when DH leaves the lid off completely.

Hally, I've received my order too of 2 old those meatball cookers for next year's birthday presents for BIL & DIL.  I'll be interested to hear what you think of them - it is suggested you spray them well before adding the balls but they now seem to have been removed from their list. Reviews weren't that good but I thought they'd be very handy for meatball lovers and was prepared to give them a shot. Of course I don't have to clean them, that might be an issue.

Bought myself a Xmas present.  A kit to make Kefir.  Have just made my first lot.  Seems very nice.  Like a soft yoghurt.  As it loses it's 'goodness' if heated,  I have been searching for recipes.  First one will be Kefir lemon ice cream. Said to be very good for the intestines.

Funny Chookie. I was talking to the fermenting crowd about kefir and I think actually quirky Jo had something to say about making it in the Thermomix a while ago. Could be wrong about that  though. Probably would be good for both of you.

Chookie, the Kefir I used to have was like cauliflower curd. It was placed in the milk and left at room temp. till it thickened then it was strained and the curd put in another lot of milk.  Your kit sounds interesting
