Well done Karen just start with a few basics then add to those. How did you lose the weight?

Thanks for your kind comments everyone!  I didnt get out clothes shopping yesterday, but plan to very soon.  I basically followed the BodyTrim programme, which is a low carb diet, and did nothing more strenuous than brisk walking.  Got a pedomoter, and aim for 10,000 steps per day.

Went shopping with my Mum...
I made her buy a new Neff oven (well 2 really) as her old oven carked it.
She made me buy an insane amount of clothes.
Our credit cards will never be the same again.  :-))

My Mum and I were the same Nikkit. We always had to have morning tea or lunch or both. DD and I try to copy that. There was a short time when the 3 of us used to hit the shops. That was fun.

My Mum is different.  I used to pick her up when Dad was alive and take her to the nearest shopping centre when she needed clothes (they used to do the food shopping together).  Dad would ask us when we left how long would we be and Mum would tend to rush, rush, rush - never had time for a coffee and certainly not lunch.  In the end I just told him we would be back when we were ready and we had a more leisurely shopping trip, even the odd cup of coffee!  Never lunch though as Dad would be waiting for Mum to come home and get something for him.  I started taking them both out for lunch as they grew older and Dad was less prone to driving in areas outside theirs - I called them surprise outings as they never knew where they were going to end up.  They really enjoyed themselves.

That's lovely Judy.

I love shopping with my mum  ;D she is amazing. We still go to Melbourne for a shopping weekend twice a year - we have been doing that since I was a teenager. It's from mum that I got my love of kitchen appliances. I inherited my good shoe genes from her. I must ring her and say thankyou for being such a super mum.  :D

Do that Mich. I am sure she will love it. I was having my eyebrows done the other day and the lass's Mum was in there. She gave her daughter a kiss and blew me one too. I don't know her at all but she made my day.  :D
