fundj this one has the wood in a seperate compartment underneath the cooking chamber so thinking it will be a little less work than the traditional ones. You can also purchase a gas converter which puts a gas jet in the compartment where you would normally put the wood which will look at down the track if the wood is too much work.

Did a lot of research too and found that it was really hard to control the temperature on the wood ones. If I was getting a wood one it would be a permanent one and as I am looking to move I didn't want to have to leave it behind.

lol maddy...he obviously likes to see you happy  ;D  Lovely decorations..I have no idea what Im putting on the table this year except I have fund christmas balls made for name place holders..they are everywhere thisyear and I have asilver tablecloth but toher than that  ???

My DH gets a kick out of getting me something I want although tells me constantly I have expensive taste and that my parents ruined me lol  Tells people that if you put me in a store with no price tags, hands down I would pick the most expensive item in the shop lol.....also too many purchases to mention on this post from cookbooks to a whole lot of pressies to bits and pieces here and there and have my sights set on quite a few larger items in the new year!!  My brother wanted something typically French for christmas but legit and not some tourizst knock off so got him THE french beret which is wool felt, black and leather lined and waterproof and from Basque country...see if he likes it..cant get more french than that without going gourmet!  And threw in a french brand Tshirt SVP Merci..the kids games and DH and I decided to be good this year and not do presents for each other...I dont know why just something we decided together and Im surprising very ok with that!  I get more of a kick out of the kids faces with all of their presents than opening mine on christmas morning.  However I am getting presents from others lol

Maddy, it would have been disastrous if you couldn't have used the iPad for online shopping ;D
Gorgeous items you've ordered.
