Not as good as it was when it first opened cookie, now most shops seem to say buy 1 get the second item for $10 whereas in the early days there were genuine bargains on a single item. I was very disappointed and won't be hurrying back.

Well done Cookie. A size smaller is great  8) 8) 8) You can never have too many jeans and T shirts lol. I bought 2 pairs of Thomas Cook jeans (love 'em to bits) and at least half a dozen T shirts when we were in outback Qld. DH wisely made no comment  :)

So true Judy

I am going to have to ban myself from Victoria's basement. Couldn't resist these two lovely ladies today. The blue Cool Mama is filled with "baking soda" (which I presume means bicarb) and sits in the fridge to absorb odours. The red Hot Mama gets filled with a vinegar and bicarb mix and then sits in a hot oven to loosen baked on grime. Cute! Fingers crossed they work.

Djinni, you are a very smart shopper. I remember at the FF when you went shopping and returned with some spatulas. I still use mine and think of you when I use it. Thanks.

Thank you Chookie  :-* :-* I still use my spatulas too. They've lasted well!
I always think of friends here when I use the lovely things I have received over the years from SSs.

I remember the spatulas too, and mine are still going strong. The blades have removed a few 'chips'.

I had a great time at the Royal Adelaide Show today in spite of it being really cold and at times, wet.
Went mad buying showbags for everyone, from the left is my Woman's Weekly showbag, Miss Coco, 2 Gourmet Foodland bags then an assortment of chocolate, liquorice, potato chip bags for some of the people in the nursing home.  I also had to buy the shopping trolley to help me carry everything.

It sounds like a great day Judy.
DD and I will be going to ours in a few weeks. I don't think I will be buying any show bags though. I just love looking at the cooking, needlework etc.

Wow Judy, you are a kid again. We love the show but haven't been for years. We like the animals and pet nurseries. The GK always have a budget for Show Bags, decisions, decisions.

My GK save up for the show, GS is really good at saving but GD not so good so she was taught how to iron business shirts and earned most of her money that way - I thought that was a brilliant idea by DD, a win win for both of them. I like budgets for kids otherwise they think money grows on trees.
The show is the one time of the year I have whatever I want (or can carry), I guess I do go a little mad but the oldies will appreciate their little surprises today.

I really love the show too Judy. I enjoy seeing Clydesdale horses, the pet nursery, the cows, pigs and similar things. We have displays from different areas of the state too.
