I've just read back to see which ice cream maker you bought Judy.  Have fun.  ;D
I am really disappointed with the poor excuse for a recipe book though Julie - for this price I would expect a proper hard cover book with tons of recipes in it. I know there are heaps on the forum and I will make a list, yes another list :-)) to make them easier to find - I was going to do it for myself but have decided I may as well share it with everyone.

Understand Judy. That's why I bought that book.  There are lots of recipes on line though if you don't want to go down that road.  :)

Yes, what would we do without the internet.  I was on there very late last night looking for recipes for leftover corned beef, found some nice, simple ones then didn't even get around to making anything today.  Some days just get away from you and you just have to grab anything that's going.

So true Judy - some days do slip away.
As long as we remember the most important thing we wear is are expression then no day is a waste.

My local kitchenware shop was having a 25% off sale, and i just couldn't resist. I bought a long silicone spatula for scraping out my jug, 2 new professional circulon non stick frypans, a silicon measuring jug ,but the best thing of all was a pancake batter dispenser. Yesterday, I made pancakes with my daughter for brunch, and we made so much less mess!
We mixed up the batter in our Thermo Chef. We followed the recipe for Rara's pancakes (although I halved the sugar and replaced half the flour with wholemeal ) and then poured the batter into our new dispenser. The jug of the Thermo Chef was too heavy for my daughter to use to pour directly into the hot pan. She was able to control the size of the pancakes, and not leave trails of pancake batter all over the cooktop. She likes to make "baby" pancakes as well as large ones. We made double decker stacks with strawberry and apple jam (made in the Thermo Chef) & fresh strawberries, topped with another pancake with banana, maple syrup & cream. Yum Yum.

I'm looking forward to trying this out when making patty cakes with the kids.
