Oh how I love doona covers and bead spreads.  With change of houses and new colours in bedrooms I have had to use my less favourite ones. I think I will have to repaint the bedrooms and change the curtains so I can use the ones I love.

I can never visit Ikea without coming out with heaps of things I didn’t go there for, it’s a fascinating shop.

Chookie are you saying that the beautiful linen in the guest room I used is now not used in your new house.  I felt a very special guest in that room.

Thank goodness we do not have an IKEA within cooee of Cairns! Today I disposed , recycled, trashed and repurposed over 30 items excess to requirements. I live alone. I have 3 only doona covers. One for a single bed and 2 for my bed. I even went through my shoes today and found I could get rid of only four pair.  5 years ago I had only 3 pair of shoes not I have 15. I think they multiply when not looking. 3 pair are white canvas “tennis” shoes only $3.50 a pair from Big W. Why. No idea.  I did buy 3 pair of arms for my Dresden glasses. Nice to have colour change but totally totally unnecessary. I recommend Dresden frames to anyone. Brilliant concept and Aussie made for only $40.

Gert I love your glasses, they are so YOU. (My 66 year old brother says that a lot- not sure why‼️)

When we painted the inside of the house during Covid we got rid of so much stuff it was embarrassing. I probably need to do it again. 🤪

It is something we can do over and over, there’s always something we’ve decided we no longer need. We have a local giveaway group here which is handy for getting rid of stuff then there’s the op shop around the road as well.  It’s amazing to see the generosity of many of our members who could quite easily sell their items using online sites.

Inspired. Yes I have so much stuff that I should get rid of.  But NOT my good Doona Covers and Bed Spreads.

Yes mine didn’t last long, I threw it out last time I culled the kitchen cupboards after testing it once more to make sure it wasn’t working.

Just had this ‘cinema chair’ delivered, so comfy that I could sleep in it if I had to. Was able to fit the new rug into my car.
