DD yes its the same kind of machine as the nespresso just more variety and not the same discs obviously...we find it great when friends come for dinner etc ..everyone can have what they want and in only a few secs..convenience...not the best for the environment though with all the individual discs..you can even get a special pot for morning coffee..ie makes up a bigger batch than individual!

That sounds amazing Frozzie. The pods for the Nespresso are aluminium, so DD slits them open, bangs the coffee out and then they can be recycled.

yes we have them here too but the tassimo ones are plastic with an aluminum lid and if you took the time im sure you could recycle them and I know that used coffee is great for the garden..apparently great fertiliser!..I usually throw it out then remember after the fact doh could have put that on the garden!!

Cookie, I have a nespresso machine too - do you have a favourite 'colour'?! There are so many varieties to choose from, I found it really daunting to choose a blend to start with!  It is just so quick to be able to make your friends a nice coffee - I love it.

We always have a coffee at 11.00am  We have a Saeco coffee machine and after 30 cups you have to empty the drawer.   We tip the used grounds on the Lemon tree and it loves it.  DH doesn't cook but does make a real mean coffee.

Believe it or not the lemon tree would love it. Great liquid fertiliser.

My favourite Nespresso 'colour' is any except dark olive green, I think it's called Indriya. I don't mind it but won't buy it anymore.

You can make 30 cups,  after each cup it empties the used coffee grounds into a draw that sits under the machine.  It tells you when the draw is full and you can't make any more coffee until you empty it.  We bought this machine as it will froth the milk at the same time as it expresses the coffee.  That is, I get my coffee quicker.  Love my coffee.

Went to a food industry supplier shop that is reducing stock to specialise in just cakes & cake decorating. Everything else was discounted. I spent ages wandering around picking up bits and pieces. I got a lot of stuff, but the most interesting things are a 28cm chef’s frypan, a springform with a glass base, a specialty bread tin and a lid for my (decades old) bread loaf pan, all excellent quality. Saved heaps and very, very happy. In fact contemplating going back next week in case I missed anything.  ;D ;D ;D

ooh where was that at???

Maddy, pmsl at you being the first in Oz for the new cake pop stand - couldn't be a better buyer/owner!!!!!

It will suit you right down to the ground maddy.  Anyone who has a lathe owning relative could ask them nicely to make one of these up for them in timber to get the same effect.
