I'd love an Aldi and Costco. Coles and Woolies have us really stitched up. I'm getting rather cross that they keep discontinueing products to put in their own. I keep emailing them and they say 'oh we don't stock that anymore."

Went to Costco today with a friend - only my 2nd visit, & this time I signed up! Bought box set of roald Dahl books 4 the kids for $48 - bargain! Wrapping paper, box of 30 beautiful greeting cards for $18 (with 2 school age kids go thru a LOT of cards etc). Oh & bought some food too! Flour, sundried toms, goats cheese etc etc. I can see I'll probably only go about 6 times a year, but I reckon I'll get my money's worth.

I had a day out on Norwood Parade today with the carers and managed to get some things on my wish list during the 5 hours shopping & lunch trip.
The Gucci handbag I found in an op shop for $75. The birthday book is for forum members details, the stainless steel soap is because Gretchen gave it the thumbs up on here and the new timer/alarm is because my old one didn't work this morning and I slept in
Still made it to the meeting point in time though. Had a great day.

Glad you had such a good day, JD! See everyone! JD can't even take a day off without her mind on the forum! A lovely book - and thank you for taking the time to look after us all . . . .

Glad u had fun JD. You deserve it.
Thanks for the info on the air fryer. Been thinking about getting one and now I will save my money and use the oven.
As for Aldi and Costco. Armidale was meant to get Aldi 2 yrs ago and we r still waiting. Tamworth even doesn't have one.

Gert, what is the secret with the stainless steel soap? Picked up silver casings to make Chookie's Portuguese tarts...now to find time to make them!
