So far I have rung  the ins company. The ins company gave the Glazier the wrong phone number so by the time I made 6 more phone calls and got connected with the glazier  2 hours have passed And he is at a Funeral.

The glass is slowly, creepily, and crackly falling into And out if the house. It is a mess.  I doubt it can be repaired anytime soon as it is special cyclone proof safety glass and is 2.4.X 1.3. Metres big. Not your normal standard window glass or pane size.

Probably will have to be boarded up for now .

One dog is hiding under the bed. Jaxon thinks it is his fault. Old Dogzhimers  Elvis is completely oblivious and even though I have set up barriers he is still trying to do his "circuit".

I am getting A glass of and going into the pool to read some crap  on my Kindle.

Oh, and a rocket frog just got a leg caught in my lap top keyboard.

That's a bummer Gert and hopefully it can be fixed soon.
In the meantime enjoy your glass and relaxation in the pool :D

So the good news is that the glazier just left to go back to his shop to bring back some laminated glass which he will put into the frame as a temporary measure  even though it will be 2 cm short! The glass factory has shut down the their furnaces for the holidays and won't fire them up until the middle of January when they can make the proper glass for the frame. So a temporary job to be done today as soon as the Apprentice has finished his Christmas shopping!

The lovely glazier brought his lovely wife with him and as she is from Thailand we were able to have a lovely  conversation in Thai about lovely Thailand.so everything is lovely indeed.

So the answer is that you can actually buy a window before  Christmas. Not the good one but good enough unless there is a cyclone in the next couple of weeks.

Not a bad say at all.

That's rotten luck Gretchen and such bad timing too.  Keep us informed and let us know when the proper cyclone proof glass has been installed.  In the meantime, I will keep my eye on the weather for your area and hope there are no cyclones presenting - you might need to get that window boarded up if something rears it's ugly head as we all know that is quite probable at this time of the year.  Poor old doggies, it sounds as if their Christmas has really been upset and I hope Jaxon comes out from under the bed at some stage.

Gert, so glad you at least know what is happening and when.  Will keep fingers crossed for you there are no cyclones coming your way.  Take care.  Poor Jaxson  :)

Happy. The window is done and dusted. The glazier had the right size glass, cut it to size and replaced it  taking less than an hour to do the work with his handsome apprentice Dom.

I am amazed .
