Last week I bought a great cake tin that holds 6 of these sized cakes.  Today I used it to see how it behaved, hoping that they wouldn't stick to the tin; they came out beautifully.

Could try different ways to serve these, a few thoughts of mine would be to melt some white chocolate and once cooled a bit, put it in the heart indent on top and let it set, with some fresh cream and fresh raspberries served at the side.  Or maybe I could do the same thing with raspberry jelly, once cooled before it's set, could pour it in the same place.  Another thought is runny icing so once you cut into the cake with your spoon, the icing would run down over the cake, or fresh cream with fresh chopped fruit......  :D
Anyway I'm happy with my purchase.  ;D

Maddy, yes it was from Target.  I was a bit surprised actually as I haven't seen anything like that in there before.  It's a nice and sturdy tin too so it won't go out of shape or dent.  :D

Julie those look so great I actually bought a tin like that a couple of months ago from Target together with heart shaped silicone muffin cases - needless to say it is the same category as so many forum recipes still to be tried!!!! - after seeing the results that time may be sooner rather than later.

Thankyou girls!  :D

Maddy, I agree you have to get the tin to make the cakes to go on that lovely tea set.  ;D

Wonder here is the recipe that I used, it's very simple but makes the nicest cakes. I can't see why it couldn't be done in the TM.

SCOUT'S CUPCAKES
2 large eggs
Thickened cream
Vanilla extract, splash
160g caster sugar
150g sifted SR flour
Fresh strawberries
Whipped cream to decorate
Icing sugar to dust

Preheat oven 180C.
Crack the eggs into a 250ml measuring cup, and fill to the top with thickened cream.

Tip into a mixer bowl and beat for 1 min then add vanilla extract and caster sugar.
Beat for 3 mins on a gentle speed.
Add flour and fold in on speed 1 (KA)  until smooth.

Place in 10 - 12 small muffin cases or less if using larger cases.  Bake until light and golden and cakes spring back when lightly touched in the centre, approx 15 mins. (depends of what size you are making). Like I said earlier, I only got 4 of the size I made.

Decorate how you like.
