haha yes well as it goes...time for staying indoors and dark days and freezing outside, winds, ice oh what fun !!  However Paris is gorgeous in winter...i do love all the fairy lights and deco they put around the place..not christmassy at all just pretty without going OTT

will be very jealous of the aussies and your warm weather and hope you have a better summer than we did....our summer was quite cool even for european standards..

other than the fact that its freezing its my favourite time of year to go to Paris..i absolutely love it  :)  The big departments stores like Galerie Lafayette are gorgeous too  :)  Ever since 2000 the sparkling Tour Eiffel is always lovely to watch  :)  I remember one of the first times I saw that we were drinking in the back of then hubbys clio with teh boot up (was a commercial version) lol at Le Sacre Coeur watching all over paris..loved it!  so many wonderful memories living here  :)

Brought home some gorgeous purple carrots, organic spinach, fig & fennel bread, fresh capsicums and basil.
Oh, and a huge bottle of St. Germein - http://www.stgermain.fr/index2.php   :-)) ;D

Love purple carrots, we eat more of them than the orange ones, word of warning  don't steam them in the veroma while cooking rice.  :o
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

we have them here along with lots of other 'old' time veggies...topinambour has become quite common here too lately..lots of chefs are growing htem in the gardens of chateaux as well etc etc..some of them i have trouble remembering their names (not commonly available for public sale) ...others are becoming more available as seeds for us public folk to grow in our veggie gardens ...i love them...big change from standard veggies and much tastier i have found  :)

do they taste like orange ones

I think they do, apparently they have more vitamins.

I bought a card shuffler for the 9 year old.......now he can shuffle his own whilst I'm trying to get dinner ready

another domed cake plate.....looks like glass, but it's acrylic  ;)

.......and a bag full of goodies that I  bought from the craft shop.......I will "baking" some custom Christmas tree ornaments for my tree this year  8).....it all works in my head.....so now I have some time up my sleeve to create them!

Oh, and returned a morphy richards kettle and replaced it with a Breville quiet boil one

.....and it really is quiet!......also has the cutest bell sound when it's boiled  8)
.........EAT CAKE!

Great card shuffler Maddy. I bought one for an elderly friend who has trouble with her hands and plays a lot of cards.
Judy now you can make lots of pasta and wash your hands before and after. :P

he he good luck JD. can I suggest you only make half the EDC recipe and don't try and handle too much at once... next thing you will need a pasta rack to make drying the pasta easier  :o this Lamb Sauce is really scrumptious with home made pasta.
