I have a few size cookie scoops and depending on if its muffins or cup cakes I use the different size scoops to fill the paper cases ( in muffin tin ) then I know I have the same amount of mixture in each one, they also make it really easy to get the batter from the TM.

for cupcakes to make them stand i just use my muffin tin and put the cupcake cases in them...the bases for regular muffin tins are the same size roughly and i find they sit nicely in them..not talking abuot the larger muffin tins or hte texan ones just normal muffin tins..works well for me.  I just pop the cases in the tin holes and 3/4 fill with cupcake batter and cook..

I have alot of trouble cooking with my oven for cakes etc as its gas and i find the heat isnt constant and just gets too hot and doesnt cook evenly...although i have no trouble when i use electrique at friends houses etc....my oven came with the house..i now understand why she left the oven...first full gas oven and never again...like it for stove top but not for hte oven...really hard to work with!

Same thoughts here Frozzie.
My last oven was gas, and we're on bottle too......results were just inconsistent.
Took me a while to get used to electric....but it is more dependable I find.

yes we are bottle here too as only half our street is on city gas lines...but not our half  :-))

it is handy however when there are  power cuts..you can still cook, heat water etc..have to look at the positives  ;D  However the plan is to convince DH to change our oven to an electrique in the new year although he tinks for the moment that he is getting good food so im managing with this one ...grrrrr lol!

We had our first trip to Ikea today looking for something in which to store my spices, get them out of the pantry and free up some space in there.  Ended up buying something different than we set out for but this should do the job nicely - once we put it together  :-))  Of course, whilst there I did buy a few other odds and ends - 3 platters, 2 packets of muffin/patty cases, 4 oven pads and a pizza cutter.  We had the obligatory Swedish meat balls for lunch - enjoyed them very much.

Great purchases Judy. I hadn't been to Ikea until late last year, when some friends insisted we go with them. They have so much stuff.

JD, if it's not too much of a hassle, are you able to tell me the Ikea stock number for the drawer set?  It looks precisely like something I have been looking for for a while and if I have the stock number I should be able to track it down to exactly the correct item on the web site.

Many thanks.

This is waiting at AAE for me - but can't pick it up until tomorrow given I was not here to accept delivery today.  DH actually had his ears attuned to his conscious thoughts at some stage (either that or he popped onto the forum!!!!!) - anyrate no more commerical brand icecream here -
