I'm sure you are sociable Uni, you just don't put up with crap - usually Gretchen doesn't either. The things we do for our DH's.  Friends like that we do not need.  My infrequent guests are always first class and I love having them back. We learn from experiences like those mentioned and become very choosy as to which people can stay in our homes. 

Gretchen I have a lovely friend from Brisbane who is the perfect house guest, she does her own handwashing, eats anything and everything served up, is so easy to get on with, lets me beat her at scrabble and is one of the few who will sit and have a drink with you every night   She then leaves money hidden somewhere she knows I will find it and a lovely note thanking me for my hospitality and saying how much she has enjoyed her stay - totally unnecessary but how do you stop people like that.

Oh Judy I have a Kiwi friend just like that. I made her stop hiding the money  with threats. Now she just has cases of wine delivered. What can you do?.  Most guest are great and we love to have them but when they are bad they are very bad.

Andie, I'm allergic to pretty much any synthetic scent so they are all but banned in the house. Recently had house guests who despite numerous comments about my allergy sprayed her entire body (or so it seemed) with perfume each morning, needless to say I was very happy to see them go.

When I was still working, my boss only saw a couple of patients a day - for long, involved evaluations for insurance/legal cases.
We always sent out an instruction letter noting that if the person arrived wearing scent, they would not be examined.  My boss was allergic to several scents and me even more.

We often had women (and a few men) who seemed to have marinated themselves in scent, probably because they used so much they had lost their sense of smell.
Many times they got very angry when I pointed out that they could not be seen.  One woman suggested that I was refusing her because of her race.  About that time the neurosurgeon who shared our office (a black lady) came in and told the woman she smelled her scent when she was coming up in the elevator.  No more argument.

No shopping today as I was working but a dear workmate gave me WW Baking Day Cook Book.
It has beautiful photography and recipes.

I just brought about $300 worth of framing supplies (does that count?)
Other than that only veggies from the veggie van.

  WoW DG...something free from a bank....buggar me....miracles do happen

it comes with a inner pot and 1st you cook in for 5 to 10 mins then you place the inner pot in the  big thermos pot and it cooks it without power

the rice only cooked for 5 mins then 30 mins in the thermal pot. next week sometime i will try the yogurt
