I like to use this excuse too - but deep down it's just cuz I like doing things to make food look better or different!  ;D
My girls are good veg and fruit eaters, thankfully!  But they do like different presentation too....yeah, see, it was for them after all!!!!!  ;)
Get one Robyn...they are so cool!! And not that much $$ either!!  :)

That is amazing Astarra :D. My excuse is getting ready for retirement! (only 13 years before official retirement age) ;D

The spiralizer is really easy to use. I have stored the spare blades in an old spice bottle, they are sharp. I am looking forward to trying some more pasta sauces - haven't made any for years. Will use zucchini instead of noodles.

This originated in India and is called a "tiffin" carrier...carried lunch and snacks for people who work in offices or school children.

Medusa, I bought my Benriner Cook helper slicer from an eBay seller (andyahrens) for $52.39 plus $12.99 shipping for a total of $65.38. I see Everyon online have one today for $86.95 plus shipping.

Lunch is zucchini noodles with pesto for lunch  ;D

My cake decorating caddy came yesterday, now I'm just waiting on:
  • Ribbon Cutter
  • 13 inch angled spatula
  • Icing Bags & Ties
  • Decorating comb  & smoother
  • Rotating cake stand
  • Plastic dowel rods & cake circles (for stacked cakes)
  • 20 inch rolling pin & guides
  • Roll & cut mat

So I MAY have gone a LITTLE overboard with Amazon and my tax return, but I really love cake decorating  so I thought I may as well while I could. And it is so much cheaper than buying it in Australia.
