andI you are brave to get anywhere near a snake with a hoe!  I was driving up north (WA) and came across a massive King Brown in the road.  I stopped for a look and it was alive but had been hit by car and guts were oozing out of body! It was one angry snake!!
LOL how did this thread go from shopping to snakes????   anyone buy a nice snakeskin bag or shoes lately?

That's such a shame greyhoundmum. They don't have the stock that's in the shop and it just depends on the day you go in but the stock changes regularly and their 3/4 running pants which I paid $115 full price I can now get for $69. I've even bought some things for DD their when they have been marked down even further. I have to stop myself going in there because I  love everything but only wear the gear when I'm actually working out so it's a waste to have too much.

A jam bag to use for straining yoghurt. Just happened to see it in wheel and barrow wheni was looking at cake stands. Tried it with the yoghurt I made yesterday and it's quite good. The yoghurt is great, very smooth and creamy just like bought Greek yoghurt, DD will have no idea I made it.

If you sew or know someone who has a sewing machine, you can buy extremely fine  nylon tulle  and make it into bags  for draining cheeses or yogurt.

I have three and if I need to drain yogurt rapidly, I ladle equal amounts into the three bags, fasten them tightly, tied with string and arrange them evenly around the inside of my salad spinner and pump the spinner about ten times.
That process extracts a lot of liquid and produces a very firm yogurt or cream cheese - I also use it to extract the whey from homemade cottage cheese when I need to use it for cheesecakes and it has to be fairly dry.

Tulle is the stuff used for veiling and some is more open weave but some is woven extremely fine so will release liquid but absolutely no solids.

Thanks Andie, I have to get my machine out in a few weeks so might get some of the fabric and make extra bags when it's out. It's a very simple pattern. Great tip about the salad spinner.

I think the fine tulle is called wedding tulle, used for veils etc.
