Thanks for your story Andie, you set the standard for 'mature aged women' on the forum.  I wonder who our oldest member is, would they like to come forward perhaps?

It's great when one phone call results in the outcome you want Hally - why did they not give you these things in the beginning though I wonder?

I'm not claiming the oldest forum member, not that I want to. I'm 10 years younger than Andie. A 49er. Some days I feel about 100 and others only 30, 40 or 50. It is quite a shock when I look in the mirror with my glasses on and see lots of wrinkles.
A friend once told me that it is only the outside that ages, the inside doesn't.  I don't really care about age very much, in fact I prefer to celebrate it as there is nothing I can do about it.

My Silicone Calippo thingies arrived today. Don't ask me why but I smelled one and it smells horrible! There's no way I'm putting food into it smelling like that. They are all currently in the dishwasher & I'm hoping that'll fix them & it was just the smell of the plastic bag they were in...anyone else have the same problem? Anyone have any ideas?

Try using Milton sterilizing liquid Jamberie then dishwasher again.
Or whatever is for sterilising baby bottles in Australia.

I've had several silicone things _ egg poachers for one - that  actually stank when they arrived.

I did try the dishwasher but then  soaked them in  water with a lot of baking soda (bicarb)  allowed them to dry completely then put them in a sealed container with a cup of dry baking soda.  (I buy the stuff in the industrial size box because I use so much for cleaning and such.
