Cookie - our last big trip I cooked up a lot of meals, vac sealed them and froze them.
Which will only be any good if you have power to run a freezer....
Gee and I had some awesome thoughts on vego food to make and take too.
Oh well... ;D

Thanks for your help too rostess. The camp oven is all ready to go. I would love to try a roast in it.
Nikkit I would love to do that but no freezer. We are taking the engel of course but that will run as a fridge. We have found that if we vacuum seal meat and freeze it, it will stay frozen for several days.

The couple with us are coming over tomorrow and we will do a bit of meal planning then.

cookie you could freeze up pre-made vego dishes as well. You are very experienced caravaner tho so you must be able to write a book about it. I think if I had a freezer on a road trip that is what I would do for as many meals as I could. Do they eat fish? milk and eggs?

These shoes look interesting, I have been getting a really sore heel and have been wearing the scholl shoes orthaheel and boots which I can only get overseas I wonder how these work in comparison.

I get that too Yvette. If it feels like mine, you wake up in the morning and can hardly walk for a bit. You need to stretch the tendon between the toe and the heel, and I have a golf ball in a shoe box lid on the floor under my desk that I roll around to massage it. I also wear some comfy shoes that offer support under the arch.

Yes CP mine is much better now that I have been wearing the shoes, i think it is called planter faciatis (spelling is probably wrong)
after I walked around the shops (before new shoes) I could hardly walk when I got home so annoying. It would be good if more shoes were available

yep thats the one. I reckon if I lost a bit of weight my feet would thank me, so I'll see if I can work on that theory  ;)

I've had that. One of the best things I found was stretching the calf muscle frequently. Put one leg behind you ( the sore one) , keep it straight and bend the front one   Do this while leaning on a wall. Not sure if that is very clear. Mine took about 12 months to clear up. I got it when I started wearing thongs, with no heel, around the house after retiring. I was so used to wearing a show with some heel that my feet didnt like it.

I'm no exercise person CP but you just do it and can feel it stretching the calf muscle, apparently that helps. It did for me.

Have  you tried wearing orthotics in your shoes (best fitted by a physiotherapist)?  I really find walking bare footed or with thin soled shoes terribly uncomfortable and, if my shoes don't have orthotics in them I have to wear sandals or shoes with inbuilt support such as Ecco or Birkenstock or else a good pair of trainers.  I just found this, courtesy of our good pal, Mr Google.

Fit flops are fab.
I have the thongs for summer and the gogh (clogs ) as my house shoes in winter ( most of the year)
Have worn them since they first came out. They last years and years.
They also do shoes and boots but haven't tried those.

Yes Gert, born march so about 4 m old.
Easier to housetrain a youngster and get acquainted with us and our rules, before we get too busy with guests etc.
I will get some help to train him to sheep next year, it is easier if there's a trained dog already to set the youngster up to succeed, and I don't run as fast as I did.  :o
