I'm in the Lockyer Valley. Apparently in the top ten most fertile areas in the world (although my garden evidently didn't get the message!). The oranges cost $4 for the whole box, the strawberries were $3 for all 6 trays of 500g. When I get bulk bargains I freeze it for smoothies, jams, sauces etc. a few weeks back I bought 10kg onions for $5. I just chopped in TMX, bagged and froze so I always have it in hand for recipes.

HAs anyone cooked with smeg ovens? The 900 wide AEG has such bad reviews am looking again and smeg has a 900

DJ I have a 900 SMEG and absolutely hate it - sorry! I think the model was A1, it is one of their lower models although about 5 years ago it still cost me over $4,000, I've heard their lower end models aren't great but the higher end ones are wonderful. My SMEG has only one fan which means the oven heat isn't distributed evenly and they also recommend you don't go over 200 degrees for more than 20 minutes at a time, I've already burnt out one heater element and I'm just waiting for the next one to go as I'm always cooking above 200 for extended periods of time when cooking bread and pork belly.

Oh dear thanks Wonder.
The ovens are similar prices AEG or smeg, under £700.
Am still looking at reviews as in UK only the choice of these two to get the width.
