Jam, your Roomba sounds good. Do you have to manually clean corners?

No, it has brushes designed to get the corners. It has sensors so it doesnt fall down stairs and slows a bit when it approaches furniture so as not to scratch it. Like INAID, I can also let it roam the whole house and it will find its way home when it needs recharging, I just find it is more efficient when I only give it a room or three at a time :)

Just a quickie in my new tiny SC.

Use chookie's no fuss by half.  260 gms bread flour, 1 tsp yeast, 1/2tsp salt and sugar with 150 mls warm water. Knead 4 minutes . Toss on baking paper. Toss into SC for 1hour and 10 minutes on high. Flip the bread and another 10 minutes to sort of brown on top.

Nice little buy at $20. Just nice for the two of us. Bread could not be easier nor cheaper. Thinking maybe the one minute  cheats sour dough would work a treat......perhaps . Might try that overnight just for fun and turn the SC on in the morning. Or not.

Good idea to flip it to brown the top Gert, saves putting the grill on or heating up the a/f to do the job.  I don't need bread at the moment so haven't used my little one yet for bread.  I did cook a nice chicken dish in it though.

Gert , glad you like your mini.  Love the flip over idea also.
Report on Roomba.  Love it.  Busy little thing.  Does a good job on our tiles and carpet.goes from  one to the other without any trouble.  OMG we are dirty people.  Had to empty it twice in the big kitchen area.
We also did a lot of research before we bought.  We had to buy online as the model we wanted , the shops don't carry. 780 . From the reviews the 630 is the one for dog hair.   It is slow to clean a room but you just let it do it's thing and don't have to attend to it.  It does get into the corners with its little brushes.  It also goes under the bed which is a big issue for us.  Not having to pull the big heavy bed out to do a good clean is a real bonus.  Not interested in the trendy thing.  It has to do the task it is bought for.  So far good.

Glad to hear that about your robot. Must be the one I used was just a dud.  I am fortunate to have a Maria.  My Maria does all the floors, walls, windows, bathrooms and never needs recharging. ;D ;D ;D Oh I  do feed my Maria chocolate!

Chookie I will be very interested to hear how the roomba you got goes and if you don't mind I would like the model and $. I looked at them about 12 months ago and found one that had great reviews and think it may be the one you look at. I have a Maria but would really like her to concentrate on a few other things if I can have the vacuum automatically done, I also would really like to have it do the upstairs although I'll need a lot of training of the kids before it could even find the floor up there!

DD2 has one and is very pleased with it.  It sometimes frightens the life out of me when it's gone back to the recharging unit and then comes back out of their butler's pantry into their hugh kitchen/dining/family room to finish it's job. That has timber flooring BZB and with messy GKs, the floor always needed sweeping or vacuuming before Roomba came to live.

Judy, do the kids trip over the roomba?

Is it noisy? Like the regular vac?
