Thanks. I'll do the next one with vodka.

I went into a dress shop yesterday and was so confused I rang a friend (ha) and she came and helped me. They were having 70% off so we went wild and I came home with 8 new items and didn't break the bank. I have never shopped for clothes like that before as I mostly make them (or make do more like it).  I came home very happy and only a couple of things I am unsure about but at that reduction I am not worried. I was exhausted at the end.

Cookie, I use Vodka as base for vanilla.
Troupie what a great shopping spree.
Today confirmed that I have a dreadful disease. It is called cookbook buying. Here I am frantically cleaning out getting ready to sell/ shift and I bought another cook book. David Herbert's Best Home Cooking.

LOL - I believe it is an extremely common and very contagious disease.

Yes, you're not alone Chookie - most forum members have the same disease LOL.  You shouldn't have time to even be looking at cookbooks with what you have on your plate at the moment.

Chookie I know what you mean about cookbook disease; I have a  similar disease with patchwork fabric;

After my clothes shopping, which doesn't usually happen because they don't normally fit me  as I am short and plumpish, I thought now more time for patchwork and my other little projects on the machine so more fabric needed.

I have that disease too. I bought that Womans Weekly book of Deborah Huttons. I swore I would never buy it because she's never really had a reputation for being remotely foodie

Chookie you scared me for a moment. I thought you were ill.
I'm trying not to suffer that disease, I keep telling myself that there is only so much you can do with butter, sugar, eggs and flour. Also yeast, water and flour. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Now I have to own up to something I said I would never do. I am photographing the box as DD is checking out the actual appliance.
