Well done Troupie, love to hear someone has found a bargain.
I swore off buying cookbooks also, but did buy a small hook when we were away for a few days down south. It was in a Newsagent and caught my eye. It is called Going with The Grain, recipes using Quinoa, Farro, Chia & More. It was only $7.99, less than some magazines.

A friend told us that there was a Lindt Chocolate factory outlet about 10 kms away. Guess where we have just been. I bought a few blocks of Lindt cooking chocolate, two frogs, some chocolate covered coffee beans  and a Choceby Road heart shaped rocky road. DD stocked up quite a lot. She is able to have 1 piece each night whereas I don't have the will power.
We had a chuckle. A young man came in and bought several small boxes of Lindt chocolate. He commented that his girlfriend thought he was wonderful taking her chocolates so frequently.

While shopping in my local town today I popped into a local store and saw this and of course I bought it. :D
It's a super little cookbook.

Holly Bell was a finalist in the GBBO in 2011. She wrote the book in collaboration with Iceland ( not the Country but a countrywide chain store selling frozen foods) to raise funds for The Children's Food Trust.
Here is a sample of one of her recipes.

Your book sounds interesting CC.

Bedlam I'm going to tell you anyway!  It's called Chokeby Road and it is in Division St Welshpool. I think it's 31.

I bought these today when out with a girl friend.

The cuddle rug and cuttlery set are a gift for my great niece who will be 1 next week.

The jewellery box is for one of the GDs.  It looks grey but is actually silver and mirrors.

Oh no I know that area, grew up in Bentley, not good. I wonder if I should tell my daughters, will be dangerous. ( thanks Cookie)

The gifts look beautiful and the cookbook too.  I trecked  out to IKEA today, didn't go crazy but had fun.

This is my bargain for the day.  $2 for the lot.

The second batch of jam is cooking at the moment.  I'll put some in the freezer to make more jam later on.

Ooops, forgot the photo. :)

Lots of beautiful shopping girls.
Cookie, is Chokeby Rd a wholesale place?
My only purchase was yesterday, I felt like absolute crap with this bug I have, but needed to get GS a present for his 5th birthday tomorrow. I managed to find a large quantity of dinosaurs with trees and rocks, some Kinetic Sand, then needed a suitable storage container for the sand, so he can play without scattering it. 3 shops later, I went to Bunnings, found exactly what I needed, only to be told they didn't have any lids left. I was feeling close to throwing up, but I asked why the had no lids left, the young kid just shrugged his shoulders. I got home and slept the rest of the day away.
