Nice purchases Maddy, they certainly bring back memories.

Certainly does K Atie  :)
It's from the 50's I believe, made in Melbourne.
I've had it for many years now, & probably my favourite to date.
It's so powerful, and sounds like a jet taking off lol.

I do love modern appliances, but adore the charm of vintage  :)

Went shopping in Bendigo yesterday. They had a 1/2 price sale in my favourite cook shop.
Bought  2 bright Orange/ red cast iron pots with lids and a large SS pan with lid and small handles on the side.  Should fit new small Miele oven. Other odds and ends. I am getting out of all my non stick pans.

Maddy we had a 3 tiered cake tin like that. I still have a similar one in use.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Gorgeous as always Maddy. Love vintage too.

We had a bit of a splurge in July with a new car and used caravan. Came home from camping last Monday and our 18yr old washing machine gave up the ghost. Bought a new front loader yesterday - so far so good. Went to put the electric blanket on and it's a no go. Today had to hunt high and low for a new one. End of winter and Kmart & Target sold out. Got one from Pillow talk.
Also bought at The Entrance markets (while away) a toaster oven for the van for $25 - like new and an egg cooker from Aldi.
Hopefully this is the end to the spending for a quite some time.

Looking at buy a dishwasher just now .... thinking Miele.  Any thoughts / suggestions / ideas everyone?  I've been desperately wanting a new cooker for years, but the dishwasher has taken priority now and I will just have to tolerate my crummy cooker for another decade or so!

Now to actually get time to make them!

We have been very happy with Miele. The best part is that I can call Miele customer service and they actually help you fix any minor problems over the phone rather than spending an expensive tradesman.

On the whole, very reliable. Would buy Miele again.

We have a Miele dishwasher and have had no problems with it.
I love the cutlery tray. I get mocked for making sure all the knives, spoons etc are put in in order, but then it is so easy to swipe a handful to put back in the drawer.

I bought a Bosch dishwasher to replace my Miele. To replace the Miele was silly money so opted for the Bosch.Very pleased with it and mine has a cutlery tray.

I was really lucky to get mine with quite a discount as it was the last in stock of a superseded model. I looked at the new model out of interest but couldn't see any difference.

The saleswoman said "Once you have one Miele appliance, you'll want all your kitchen and laundry appliances to be Miele!"
And yes, I would, but there's zero chance of that due to cost!  ;D
