Brought myself an electric frying pan today as the only time we use the stove top these days is with the frying pan which needed replacing. So I have sat the frying pan on a choppig block that is sitting on top of my stove top.

Glad you thought about it for a while Kathryn  :D :D :D

Just quietly I have been doing my homework for the last couple of days - just needed the tip over the edge thing to convince DH that it did need to be replaced  ;D

Dishwasher now installed and halfway through it's first load. Got to love it when two of the older DS's come home from work early  ;D ;D

When we were looking for a house to buy 6 years ago we said we have to buy one with a dishwasher or at least somewhere to put one. We found our house which had a dishwasher ( very old but worked) so we were sold straight away. We replaced the old dishwasher 3 years ago. Mine only runs once a day and I hand wash the rest. Love my dishwasher.

My shopping is about to be curtailed as I funnel funds directly to my dentist.
I'm quite depressed. :'( :'(

I've been saving for my next dentist's visit for approx. six months and I still have more to go - replacement bridge required c. $6,000!  If this new one lasts as long as the original it won't be so bad (divide $6,000 by 20 years = approx. $5.00 per week!)  It doesn't hurt so much when you look at it that way.  However, I really would prefer to spend the money elsewhere - new hot water tank element ... solar panels ... refurbish the bathroom ............

:) Hubby  bought some new wine glasses for work.

He wants to celebrate the new shop.

I'll go buy the wine today.

Although the bills are going to be high, I am far more depressed about the actual procedures.  I'm a dreadful baby when it comes to dental work.  I had slowly improved over the years, but I'm up for some major stuff now (currently have an infection in the jaw bone under a crown & need implants) and I feel sick just thinking about it.
I just thank the heavens for drugs.  They're going to have to use all they've got on me. :o :o
