Frozzie,  certainly a day worth celebrating.  What a beautiful country that you live in.  We have been admiring the lovely villages and countryside while watching Le Tour. Have a great day ;D ;D ;D

Enjoy your day Frozzie.  Tell me, do you celebrate Australia Day in some little way as well?

in a very little way JD being the ONLY (franco) aussie in my group of family and friends over here and hubby being french and the kids only knowing France and visit oz on holidays makes it hard to get a celebrating 'vibe' going... one of these days I will drag the locals into a celebratory BBQ/dinner with everything oz and see how it goes!! Most of the time though its party of one and I celebrate by sharing in the events of family and friends back in oz....one of the few downfalls I guess of living overseas and sharing dual cultures!

J’espère que tu as passé une bonne fête du 14 Juillet Frozzie !  Ici il a fait un froid de canard et je n’étais pas d’humeur à faire la fête – un peu de blues peut-être…  :(
Anyway we did celebrate in the evening with a good bottle of French wine and a very pungent (French) Camembert: YUM!  Apart from that our meal was more Australian than French after a pretty busy day on the farm and running the kids to town:  no public holiday here!  Might have a belated celebration on the week-end with a few friends.  And I know what you mean:  it’s never quite the same to celebrate a national day when you’re not living in the country.
