Has anyone checked out the other forum since the upgrade? It looks really good with a lot of new functions. Pity it's not as busy as this one. I only check it every few weeks and still manage to keep on top of it. Wouldn't mind some of those functions on here though.

When you look at the activity on this forum, the friendliness, recipes, hints/tips, chats, etc. It really is all you need.............

When did they change the format - I haven't been over there for ages as it used to take so long to get into it or around it. Quicker just now but ours is as comfortable as an old pair of slippers to me and I know exactly where everything is.
If
ours goes down for any reason again, I would certainly have a browse over there but in the meantime, this one keeps me pretty busy and is where all my friends are

I think it would be hard to challenge this forum for companionship, content and support (except perhaps at the Berlei counter! - I can't remember who came up with that little gem, but I thought it was well worth repeating). No matter how long you have been a member or how many questions you have asked, there is always something new to learn or to pass on to someone else (even when you are in a cranky mood and venting about subjects that have nothing to do with the TMX). This is such a wonderful forum and each one of you have contributed to make it the place it is, I honestly think the "official" forum will have a hard time emulating this forum family.

I hardly ever look there. I love this one too much. It seems very formal. I'll have to check out its new format.

I like this forum better for all the reasons stated above, but especially because it is independent. If i have something to say, I don't like to think that RC can check up my details from my isp address and put a mark against my name, not that I'd have anything much to say. No, this much more comfortable and informative - we don't need Big Brother watching our every comment and knowing where it comes from; I have no doubt they watch what we say already.

I still don't like the other forum. I just went on and posted a couple of replies and each time, couldn't find my way back to where I was. Love this one and will stay here.
