Samosa help
« on: July 31, 2011, 02:22:23 am »
Does anyone have a fail safe samosa pastry recipe?  I'm a brand new user, I've also never made samosas before but my son is pestering me.  I tried the recipe in Stephanie Alexander's Kitchen Garden Companion but the dough was so runny, I don't know what the normal consistency should be.  If any good Indian cooks out there I'd love to hear from you.  Thank you.

Vivaroo, there are 2 different recipes in our Fast & Easy Indian Cookbook for samosa pastry with different recipes for fillings.  If you like Indian food, this book is a must.  As the recipes are very long and I am on my way out, I haven't got the time to type them for you at the moment. If no-one else has done so by the end of the day, I will endeavour to do so tonight.

There is also a recipe in the Travelling with Thermomix book (which I don't have yet). Somewhere on the internet though they had a sample of 6 recipes in the book which I managed to download, but now I cannot find them for you  :(
