how do i convert a recipe?

Hi everyone, I am planning to make a batch of my fav choc chip cookies, and am wondering how to do it in the TM. How long would i mix the dough for? I've gotten the hang of using the TM recipes, but am a little unsure  on this! Any advise would be great.. Thanks

I think the best advice for converting is to find a similar recipe (preferably a forum one with good reviews) and follow the steps of that recipe but substituting in the ingredients from your own recipe. Be sure to share your recipes with us when you get converting.

Chelsea is right,  this is how I started and one of my greatest delights is converting.

Hope all went well for you Red Kell, with the advice from the lovelies above you are all set.  To help with the small problem which Cookie outlined, use one of the recipe methods from a similar recipe already posted (the amazing JD has provided you with those links) - copy and paste into a word document and make your changes from there.
