Peanut butter question

Hi Everyone,

was just about to start making the edc peanut butter but i dont have sunflower oil- could i use either olive oil, peanut oil or canola oil instead?

I wouldn't use olive oil if it is extra virgin as the flavour would be too strong.  :)

I don't use any oil at all. Simply grind 500gm bag of roasted peanuts speed 8 until it all goes pasty (about 30 seconds) then turn down to speed 4/5 and keep going until desired consistency is reached (about 1-2 mins) - the nuts will give up some of their oil in the processing. I also sometimes add a handful of toasted hazelnuts for a REALLY delicious peanut butter. Have fun experimenting.

Thanks- good idea to not use any oil, will do that next time.

I used unsalted nuts and just added some sea salt.  Cleaning was not a problem at all!!
