How often do you use your Thermomix?

I am planning on buying a Thermomix (my demo is tomorrow) and I'm wondering how often you Thermomix users use yours?  Once a day?  twice a week?  Hardly ever?  Do you use it as much as you had anticipated using it when you first bought it?

I work full time so in the mornings, sadly, I only have time to look and wave to Thermie.  Perhaps when the weather gets colder, which in Frankfurt it will VERY soon, I might attempt porridge.

I do, however,  rush home from work as quickly as I can so that Thermie and I can have a "play date".  And then when dinner is cooked and Thermie is showered and shampooed and DH and I are relaxing on the sofa, I have been getting Thermo-urges.  Thermo-urges are an all-of-a-sudden urge to whip up something sweet and tasty, just so that I can have one last "play date" before bed.

In short,
weekdays:  2x per day
weekends: 3x+ per day

Moral of the story - I love Thermomix!!!

Breakfast at weekends
2-3 times per week for soup for lunch
Dips at least once per week,
Dinner, every night
Deserts, 3 times per week
Cakes & cookies 1-2 times per week
Bread, every other day

Them I just get the urge to make something different.

With the tm, i can make 2 meals in one night, adult meal and a chid friendly  meal

Also another plus, if i am sick, there is always something in the freezer ready to eat, no need to buy  crappy takeaways

At least twice a day, usually 3 times. On a 'kitchen' day when I knock out basics and a couple of savoury dishes for the week ahead, easily 6 times. Have fun!

I use Thermie at least twice everyday. I now resist the urge to make a cake in a minute or biccies because we are all putting weight on. I am sure you will find it is one kitchen machine you actually use more than you anticipate rather than the usual "think you will use often" that gets lost in the back of the cupboard.

Elsie, welcome to the forum.  The first point is to make sure your TMX is left out on the bench - a true Thermomixer never puts their machine away, it is on standby ready to go at all times.  Whether that be for a meal, bread, cakes or just whipping up a drink if you feel like it (coffee included).  Some families are only 1 - 2 people so we don't need to cook as much as those with as many as 5 kids like some of our members have.  So, it is a supply and demand thing really - the more mouths to feed the more you will use it.  If food isn't required because of leftovers I often still want to use it so stock up on sauces, spice mixes, stocks or make soup for the freezer.  I rarely use it in the mornings, just the odd time for porridge but if you like smoothies for breakfast then you definitely will.  Sometimes I will see a great recipe added to the forum, get straight up and make it - why, because I can

Hi Elsie, I use mine ALL the time – in fact the longer I have it the MORE I use it... For the first 6 months getting to know the machine I used it 1- 2x a day now probably 3-4x – I am making things I would never have dreamed of attempting before!
First time -  Green smoothies – every 2 days...
Second time  - Breakfast every day (I looove porridge in TM and also make almond milk and date/fig spread to go on it) so some mornings I have used it 4x before 8 am!
Third time - Lunch – yesterday was spinach pie (short crust pastry in TM, spinach /brown rice steamed in TM, onions/herbs sautéed in TM, mixed up with feta in TM) with homemade tomato sauce- made in TM. Also often leftover dinner (small family means often there are leftovers!)
Fourth time -  Dinner - 6 nights out of 7 (Not a big fan of eating out as I love healthy food and I am so disappointed when I have paid for a meal I know I could have made for a fraction of the cost and more importantly (to me) that probably would have tasted better!)  - and the 7th night is usually left over’s from another day...
Fifth time - maybe some bread to go with a soup I made or naan to go with curry, or maybe time to replenish the stock concentrate, maybe guests for afternoon tea - dip/ cake/biscuits all in TM.

I have had my tmx since Christmas and can count on one hand the days that I have been home and haven't used it.  On those days we have had tmx leftovers.

Similar tale form this part of the country, Elsie! Even though the past month or more has been almost drowning mode as a result of the hectic school term, thermie has been the constant but only used for the evening meal each night.  Enjoy the demo and the inspiration gained as a result!!

I've had my thermie since December. Don't know how I managed without it. It's always on the bench and is used all the time for all kinds of things, some of which I would never have attempted pre-thermie. And one of the main reasons for that are the talented and generous "lovelies" (to quote johnro) on this forum. So much info and inspiration to be found here.

Ditto to all of the above.  I am totally in love with him, and have been known to pat him. We spend quality time together everday. My life now is truly Thermalicious.  I couldn't live without him.
By the way,  I am happily partnered to a male human being as well!!!
