Just made CAPPA (coconut, apple, pineapple dried, prunes, almonds).
There were brazil nuts & sultanas too but running out of vowels.
With a dollop of yogurt & honey. Yum!

It is really a great recipe isn't it. I like the sound of Tenina's adaptation with the frozen mango ... roll on mango season!

Okay, so my first foray into CADA was had this morning . . . actually was CADP . . . coconut, apple, date and pepitas (no almonds in the cupboard . . .) Verdict: yummy! Looking forward to playing around with this, thanks for all the suggestions.

This is a great recipe to play with, my only concern would be moving too far away from the original and perhaps losing some of the simplicity, nutritional value and wonderful taste.

These variations sound delicious - must try a few for variety. A question for those who make in advance - how well does the apple keep in it? Any dramas, or do you avoid apple and go for a different fruit that doesn't go brown?

When I make my weekly jar of CADA I omit the fresh fruit - I chop this up and add it at the time of eating - we cut this by hand so it is chunkier than if it was incorporated at the time of making the main bulk. Dried fruit, if you use it, can, of course, be included at the time of making the week's supply.

Thanks, Marina. About to go camping for 10 days sans TMX. Will make up a fruit-free batch to keep us going, and add fruit as we go.

LellyJ. I love Gippsland Dairy yoghurt and it is the only yoghurt I will eat.
DId your home made yoghurt taste similar?

How is it that I've had my thermy for almost a year and have not made this until today! So delicious. I have a question about portion size as I'm always watching the waist line. Now I could easily polish off a huge bowl of this but I'll do my best to stick to one serve. Does anyone know how many serves it makes? I'm hoping 2 but it's probably more like 4.

I was like you, thermobudgie, I didn't try this recipe until I'd had my TMX for a year or more before I made it then wondered why I had never tried it! Experiment with different quantities to get the quantity that best suits you - I make this in week lots, but I have had to ease back on eating it otherwise I'd be living on it day and night!

According to My Fitness Pal a cup of CADA has 537 calories, 31g of fat and 9g protein 😳
