I have noticed this when I cook some things. The roast chicken was one. It didnt set off the smoke alarms so I didn't panic.

Yes Cookie it doesn't set off the smoke alarms just a fair bit of smoke. Used it last night with foil on the bottom didn't seem to have much smoke.

I think the problem could be if it is used a few times in a row without being washed then there is more oil on the bottom.

Could be the reason Yvette, I clean mine fully after each use.

Judy when we use it a few times in the same day I don't wash it until it is finished being used otherwise it would be a pain to wash up three times a day if it is used that much.

When mum was here in December, she ruled the kitchen. That meant she got to play with the AF first. And boy....was it smoky!! Mum has gone home now, and my kitchen is usually smoke-free 😁 😄

Made Faffa's pumpkin and feta risotto using AF  and TMX. Baked pumpkin @180 for 25 mins and the feta @200 for 4 mins. So easy!

Did they taste nice?

I only did a few but didn't reduce the time enough so they were a little dried out.  I ate one, left the bowl of chips to do something.  When I came back my DH had eaten them all.  He said they were nice 😏
