Yes it was nice Yvette, it was similar to one I found on FB, not sure which site.  There's another one besides I Love Philips Airfryer , its called We Love Philips Airfyer .

I cooked the apple crumbles tonight in the air fryer - 180o for 10 minutes rather than lighting the oven and cooking the 2 small dishes in there for 15 minutes.  These were almost cooked before my oven would have even reached that temperature.

Judy was that the other half of your pork fillet flattened out? What was the stuffind?  Looks great. Is there a reason you are using the baking dish rather than cooking on the mesh?

Wonder, firstly the 2 rolls and the potato skewer fitted nicely in the dish just for me and secondly it means no cleaning afterwards. I'll post the recipe for you.

This is the recipe I modelled the Pork schnitzel rolls on - from Allrecipes.com.au

I used 2 pieces of pork fillet (170g in total) from the tail end of a large fillet, opened it out and flattened it between plastic wrap to 1cm thick.

Filling 2 sm sundried tomatoes in oil, finely diced
1 heaped tblspn chopped parsley
1 small spring onion, finely sliced
1 tblspn grated parmesan
S & P

Mixed it all together and covered the surface of the flattened pork fillet.
Rolled it up and secured it with string tied at intervals.
Left overnight then mixed 1/2 tsp sweet paprika with 1.5 tspns olive oil & S & P and brushed the mixture over all sides of the rolls.
I sprayed the potato skewer and cooked that in the dish in a preheated air fryer 180o for 5 minutes on both sides.
Added the rolls to the dish and cooked 6 minutes, turned over and cooked another 6 minutes.  Rested a few minutes before removing the string and slicing.

KFC chicken...not cooked correctly, I think. Or rather, I didn't make the flour mixture correctly.  Airfried at 180C, 15 mins turned halfway. Reduced to 150C as the colour was still pale. 5-8mins.

Bone-in pieces were juicy. Breast was dry.

I wonder why it didn't cook evenly BZB, did you spray all the pieces before putting them in?

No, I didn't spray as I thought the chicken skin was oily enough. I will try that next time.

BZB,  I think spraying would make a difference.

Judy, thanks so much for that recipe i might make something similar for dinner tonight.

BZB, i found I needed to spray the chicken pieces with a little oil, particularly the breast and the breast really didn't need a lot of time.

BZB...in the book it suggests all crumbed recipes have 2 Tbsp. oil mixed with 50g bread crumbs...mix until it comes together, then crumbly again.  From the crumbing I did the other day, I think it does need that extra oil in with in the crumb (I didn't, but will try next time).

last night I air fried sweet & sour drumsticks

Was delicious.
I put 10 drumsticks, which fit easily & think I could have put in 2 more with careful placement

I used a double quantity of the sweet & sour marinade from the Philips cookbook.
I poured the leftover marinade over chicken (spay the basket & place foil on base under basket for easy clean up), then cooked for 25 mins @ 200c, but stopped at 5 minute intervals to turn & move chicken around, as there was lots of them.
Chicken was juicy.

I made a triple batch of the same marinade for sauce to pour over, which I cooked for 5 mins. 100c, speed 1.
When time for serving, I added some water to thin down a little & heated in microwave for 1 minute.

Maddy, you're such a fab cook! Looks very yummy :)

I've never piled all the drumsticks in as I was worried that the meat won't cook through. Guess I was thinking the airfryer was like a regular oven. Cooking in a single batch would be faster. Did you leave gaps for the air to flow? Philips wrote somewhere to leave gaps in the basket.

Will try the foil under basket next time. Another thing I've read on Facebook but have yet to try.

No gaps, just piled them in, but that's why I kept turning them at 5 min intervals.  Air flow is coming from underneath also.

Just to note...check your cooking time remaining, before you stop the machine....because I'm sure I noticed it goes back to the original cooking time first entered...you just manually decrease cooking time before proceeding again.

They look great maddy, another one to try - I'll only have 6 in the basket so won't need to turn them so often perhaps.  The rice/stir fried vegies look nice too.

Maddy how can you get air flow from beneath when you have the basket sitting on alfoil - did you put some holes in it?

All my chicken for KFC was skinless so  a lot of the crumbling wanted to come off. However it still tasted lovely. bZB yours looks lovely. I've found that soaking the dish, with the basket in it as soon as I have finished cooking makes it easy to clean.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
