A bit of a warning! I took out the net basket out (to buy a bowl you can fit in the basket) and closed the Air fryer flush!!! Will not do this again since it was very very hard to open the air fryer again. Very tricky!!! I did buy. Corning ware dish which fits snugly inside.

OMG,  I am glad you girls are not selling drugs.  Bought an XL today after visiting 6 shops.  Harvey Norman was the only one that had the XL.  Didn't bargain,  too exhausted looking for it.  GC arrived to stay for weekend.  Frustrated.  Have read with great interest and am delighted and grateful for the generous times and temps shared.  Am looking forward to baking lots of things in FILO.  The GC have ordered KFC. We will see!,

Chookie I thought you weren't going to weaken. :)
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I tried KFC tonight. ..
I added 1 tbsp olive oil tothe flour mix. The chicken was deliciously moist.
I still need to tweak the coating...The first batch I put on baking paper and I thought they were a bit dry and you could still see the flour in parts.  The second batch (I used tenderloins) I didn't bother with the baking paper and they were better (and no mess on the wire either)... next time I'll spray them with oil in the hope that the coating is a little more crispy.
Despite not having a perfect result, this time, I'll use the airfryer for this recipe from now on as it is so quick and yummy :)

Also, Myer have a sale on the XL ($399)...Might be handy for people with Myer One points/vouchers to get a bargain :)

We had filled chicken breast with prosciutto wrapped round it in the air fryer tonight. It was lovely. I slit the chicken breast so that it was only half thickness. Then spread a mixture of breadcrumbs, parsley, Parmesan, garlic, a little melted butter and a couple of anchovies over half the breast. I folded the other bit over onto it and wrapped it in the prosciutto.
20 minutes in the air fryer and yum.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Chookie that's great news, I'm sure you will love it and can't wait to see your dishes.

Cookie, the chicken looks great.

I just used it for reheating frozen arincini and last nights leftovers today.

Welcome Chookie! Lots of fun here. Hehehe

Judy, "nice breasts Cookie" ?! :D

Golden fragrant chicken tonight. The first process was done in the airfryer. Tried chucking the whole lot of 500g thighs in the basket lined with baking paper. 180C 5 mins. Flipped and another 5 mins. But the pieces were not turning golden. So I pulled out the paper. Turned the heat down to 150C 5 mins. To get the golden bits, I increased to 180C 2 mins. Perfect :)

OMG,  I am glad you girls are not selling drugs.

me too! Trying to be a good girl and resist the temptation. Can someone please remind us that the TM is supposed to replace lots appliances  in the kitchen,  not add to it. I am  this far away from caving in. TV had a $20 discount offer today....

CP, sounds like your willpower is diminishing, good luck resisting the temptation.

BZB, I've found with a few things that using the baking paper until the item is partially cooked and then removing worked well, but when leaving it for the entire cooking time the items didn't brown up as well

Before I bought the air fryer I had to find a place to put it.   Wish my kitchen looked like Michel's but it doesn't.  The mini SC is about to go to the laundry bench as I have the timing exactly right for the mini loaves.  The amount of steam will determine where the AF finally sits. I will experiment with the KFC to get the crunch.  I think it will require a spray of oil.  Maddy, I think the Panko crumbs have oil in them.  A zap in the TMX is a good idea.  May find a little time to play today.

Once upon a time my benches did look like Michele's....*sigh*....that was many appliances ago  :-\

delicious cookie & BZB  :-*

Chookie, the panko still seemed too dry & "bready"....perhaps if blitzed finer, it may not need extra oil   ???....can't wait to see what you make  ;)
.........EAT CAKE!
