I've never made Paris Brest before. First time was Teninas recipe from Just Desserts, and the next time was mine. The 2nd go I made the circle smaller and it just puffed out filled in what was meant to be a space in the middle. After it flopped I was over it cos its pretty warm here. Made a couple of batches of Johnro's cheesecakes (cherry ripe and honeycomb) cos we are travelling 1.5 hours away tomorrow for lunch, some berry coulis and caramel sauce. Will give it a go another day when its not so hot. Sort of know what I have to do next time, but disappointing that it didn't rise. (what you see in the photo is Teninas when I had finished all the cooking part I realised it wasn't going to rise in the cooling down period)
