thermy is not happy ;-(
« on: September 29, 2011, 08:36:36 am »
hello,
I am looking for some advice re my thermy (about 2 months old) I dry roasted some quinoa and went on to cook it in the basket. BUT it is now making this high pitched noise. I cleaned out the jug a couple of times to make sure I could see nothing to upset it! ... but it is still making the noise. Still functioning, but extra noisey! Should I contact my consultant or will it sort itself!! HElP PLEASE!!

I am not sure ifit is the same problem that was identified on my Thermomix, but just in case ...

I was told a couple of drops of sewing machine oil underneath would take away the squeal.

Just trying to think how I can explain where to put it... underneath the jug is a sort of circle, near the centre.

Good luck!  Worth a try.

i remember this problem with someone else and i think if im not wrong QuirkyJo said you could just use olive oil to lubricate under the blade but maybe wait for someone else to confirm??  :)
