Hi everyone,

Just had to tell you that I was out in the playground at pick up time today and a Mom, whose child I taught last year, stopped me to chat Thermomix.  She is German and we have been swapping recipes and cook books.  She mentioned that she got all her recipes on line.  I told her I did too (from here!)  She told me her site is just recipes.

Just recipes, hmmf!  This forum is recipes, friendship, fun and Thermojoy.  I gave her the link, hope she joins.  I wonder if the site is almost as important to us all as our machines are.  I've made Facebook friends!!!  I hope even to meet up with one or two of you when I come to Australia.  So fabulous!  Just wanted to tell you all!!!

I agree Lee this forum is unique.I would have never thought I could have made so many friends from all over the world because of a kitchen appliance. ;D

That's so true, CC.  I would never have even thought of joining a forum before finding this one, it's so good to catch up with everyone on here every day and to share their inspiration, recipes and ups and downs of daily life.

By the way, Lee, I have been meaning to contact you to say that if you are around Fitzroy / Collingwood when you are home at Xmas, it would be lovely to share a cup of coffee with you and Ed.

This may sound silly, when shopping for food, i always wonder if any one else here has got a TM.
Then i say to myself i should bring my EDC book with me,  if a TM owner would see it would happily come up to me and start chatting about the TM.

do i need to get a life ?
i don't need a recipe i'm italian

Somewhere in my junk I have both a Kitchenaid pin and a VitaMix pin and used to wear them when I attended foodie events.

Someone should design a TMX pin so we could wear one when we are cruising supermarkets, farmers markets and etc., so we could signal to other fanatics enthusiasts that we own and use one.

Fundj, I am much the same as you - checking out what other people have got in their trolleys and wondering if they have a TMX or, like me, if they are vegetarian.  I know lots of others on the forum do much the same thing.  Andie's idea sounds like fun - any one want to run with that idea?

Although I am sure many of us rely on the odd pre-packaged foods for various things from time to time, if I see others loaded down with pre-packaged foods I almost feel sorry for them!

Frozzie, yes, it would be great to meet other members face to face.  Do you think we are all quite different "in the flesh" as opposed to how we seem to others on the forum?  I am pretty sure I fall into that category.

How about a t-shirt or a gimme cap (baseball cap) with the logo?

I'd wear a t-shirt.  I have dozens of basenji t-shirts and wear them often.

People are always coming up to me and asking about the breed.

good idea andie  :)

cuilidh I think most people are different to what we first imagine...guess that comes down to perception or lack of it  :D ..its hard when most people dont have a photo of themselves either only a few of us do...i think when it comes down to it your inner true self is not always the same as your outer self lol but thats just life.... :)

Sometimes people with whom I have talked on the phone are surprised when they meet me because they say I have a very "young-sounding" voice on the phone.

However, other people have picked me out of a crowd and come right up to me without ever seeing a photo of me.

I've also run into people who haven't seen me for a few decades and tell me (in spite of the extra poundage) that I look just like I did thirty or forty years ago.  I find this unbelievable but can't deny that it happens.

frozzie, How about # 3
At times now i feel sorry for my # 3 lol, she missed out on so much fun, I was 30 when she was born, we were so busy all of the time, DH with his electrical business and me with a hair salon. And when she was only 3 years old we opened up a restaurant (oh boy that was hard) until she was 14.it was very hard for me, the kids were always with me in the salon and the restaurant which was a good thing. We still have the restaurant my #2 owns and runs it

DH only request was when we got married was our kids would never come home from school to an empty house even if he hade to work 2 jobs and believe me sometimes he did
He grew up like that and hated so much

now i am really  :( and feel like  :'(

Fundj we are given life in 60 sec pieces that is what you need to make the most of, I am sure your family would be saddened to think that you are beating yourself up at the way you played your hand when it was dealt. We all endeavour to do what we believe is the best thing at the time.  Thank you for sharing a little of your amazing life.  :)  :)
