Mine is the name of our first cat.  She was named Katya as I wanted to give her a Russian name to embody the spirit of my Russian mother who had recently passed away.

Our current cat (whose picture I use) tries to pretend she's not *too* upset that I'm not using her name   ;) ;) ;D

Mine is simply my life-long nickname combined with senji - a nickname for many basenjis.
I've used the name since the early days of user groups, before the internet and it is my current name on several forums.

Cuilidh is a Scots Gaelic word, rarely used these days, I believe.  Both of my parents and my DH's mum were native Gaelic speakers from the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides off Scotland's north west coast and we have a very strong regard for this language which, fortunately, is starting a revival.  Anyway, a couple of years ago DH and I bought a house in country Victoria and, for us, with our horrendously busy lifestyle, this new home is a real retreat or sanctuary and that is the meaning of Cuilidh (roughly pronounced koo-lee) - our home is our retreat and it has deep meaning for us not only as our home but as a strong link to our heritage.

It's great to see everyone's new avatars and how their forum names came about.  Frozzie, I've got to admit, France and Ozzie in one name NEVER EVER crossed my mind for your name - sometimes I think I just have to be hit across the head with a brick to enable me to see the obvious.

Cuilidh that is such an insight into you - thank you, hope that you slept well  :)  :) I have so enjoyed reading this thread.  :)  :) I am quite surprised that I was not behind the eight ball when it came to realising the significance of Frozzie, as my light bulb moments usually occur long after the party has started  :D  :D

Here is an explanation of sorts,Yvette
  • go to your facebook page, using your mouse right click on your pic where a box opens, left click on copy image location
  • on the forum left click on profile box (top of screen between search and logout) on the left side left click on forum profile information
  • Left click I have my own pic and paste the link into the box beside this
  • Move to bottom of this page and click change profile and you should be right to go

I am not on facebook but I just did a test run using DD's facebook home page and all worked; obviously I did not complete the final step of changing my profile (once is enough in a 24hr period!!!!!   Hope this helps  :)  :)

I couldn't think of a name and then I came across Twitterpated which roughtly means:

1. to be completely enamored with something
2. the flighty excited feeling you get when you think about something

This just about sums up how I felt about the TMX when I first saw it.  :D :D

I think most of us on the forum are twitterpated about TMX.
