Loving getting to know you all a little bit better after all this time ;D  Some very interesting stories coming out here.

Robyn and Fundj - I thought you both would have been much older for some reason.  Nice to see who we are talking to at last - you do look like a teacher Robyn  :D :D

Hally I can't help you out with putting an avatar up as you alone can change your profile information.  Do you know how to reduce the size of your photos?  That's the first step then you can just follow Robyn's explanation to Twitterpated although your picture will be in one of your computer files and not on facebook.  I had no idea how to do it myself way back then but I sent a photo to ILB, she reduced it for me and somehow I managed to get it on.

Marina, I would never have pronounced Cuilidh as koo-lee (more like kill-id :-))) - lovely story. My DD & partner have bought a place in Ballarat as their country retreat and are just loving getting away from Melbourne whenever they can.  We hope to get over there to stay a week or so before the end of the year if they can get all the renos done before it gets too hot for DH.

JD - we're about half way between Ballarat and Chookie, if you want to take a break on the road (as I assuming that you would not be able to resist visiting Chookie).  Would love to meet you properly.

Love Hally's suggested avatar.

Thanks Marina, will see how we go.  Chookie is more likely to visit us in Ballarat but you never know, it will depend on how DH is travelling at the time. We can only take one day at a time with him.  I'd like to go over now whilst he is doing quite well but they are not quite ready for visitors yet.

Robyn, that avatar would certainly suit Hally - she spends a lot of time in situations like that  ;)
I don't know about a 'typical' teacher look but your photo didn't surprise me apart from the fact I thought you would be older.

I always tell the students when there is a discussion re age, with their comments being along the lines of you are as old as my grandma (and we are talking yr 11 and 12 students) - a) I have never left the adolescent age group and b) the extra weight (which I should not be carrying) helps hold out the wrinkles!!!!!!! Now do I really need the pie maker as mentioned in the shopping thread!!!!!!!  :D  :D

You are not going to be eating them every day Robyn, one little pie with some steamed vegies or salad can't do anyone any harm - can it ;)

So far its stuck for 26 years.

They still ring me up and call me Obbie.

Know the feeling Robyn, mine is Faffa because my brother couldn't say Kathryn and that is what he called me. 70 is of course obvious. To this day my whole family (parents, siblings, nieces and nephews) still all me Faffa or Faf with or without an Aunty in front of it  ;D ;D

On forums I just go with my name, or my name with things around it because a lot of the time sara is already taken. I like just being me.  :)
