Hi all,

I'm Trillium because of a book I read long long time ago "Lady of the Trillium". before that I didn't know the flower, but when I looked it up I was really in love with it. It's a beautiful and simple flower and the book was really good, so I use this name in lots of things on the web.

I don't have a good pic of my kitchen now, I'll try to take one soon (when it's clean and organized) and I'll post it here.

I struggled to keep life together when I had 2 kids - always be at least one night a week I couldn't make dinner work with all the demands of life & we'd end up with takeaway - but since THermi came into my life, I've prepared dinner every.single.night, even after the birth of our 3rd bubba. Yep, my Thermomix definitely came with the gift of Superpowers.

Hello,  I am berrigamababe because I was born and raised in Berringama NE Victoria on a cattle property.

After many years of living in the Noosa/Eumundi area on the Sunny Coast .  I now I live in SW Western Australia and we have the privelage of the care takers position on a beautiful 400 acre Angus Bull Stud.

I just love my country kitchen complete with my wood stove TM and slow cooker.

Yes you can see next the fridge there is the electric stove I really don't like electric I would prefer gas.  I only use the wood stove in the winter particularly if we are having guests, every one warms there hands and backs at it, it gives such a great atmosphere.
I have not cooked a lot in it I had to restore it after we moved in.  I have cooked roasts, bread once and a few cakes and they where fine I remember my gran sticking her hand in to test the temperature 9it has no temperature gauge it is very old)and that is how I do it.
My brother and Sister in law have a convection wood stove with a thermometer and it is the only oven they have so use it all the time

I love the country kitchen berringamababe.

We had a wood stove in our first house in Australia 25 years ago. We also had a wood fired Breamar HWS I did all my cooking on it in winter. Having a wood HWS with to babies was tough sometimes. 

We also had a wood slow combustion stove in our last house. I used it all the time. I really miss it.

Thanks mcmich my daughter arrived home from Melbourne to visit and has not been to this house since we moved. She said. Wow mum such a big kitchen you must be in your element!!! The house we lived in before this also an old farm house but was prewar we had only the cupboard under the sink and one beside it.  I used the top of the old meters stove as a pantry,I bought the hutch for extra storage. It was less the 2 metres wide and the bench space was 1 metre.  So yes I am in my element with this lovely big kitchen.
