greetings ;)
« on: October 13, 2011, 01:49:20 pm »
Well, I've had my Thermomix for about a year now, so I figured it was probably about time I introduced myself around here!
I actually joined the forum just before I got my TMX but never got around to posting anything, and since then I've totally forgotten my password, so ended up having to make a new account *sigh*

Anyway...

Hi everyone!
I'm Bek, I've got 4 crazy kids, I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland (which has been rainy more often than not since I moved here!), I play roller derby and I love my TMX! Almost as much as I love my coffee machine ;)

The kids and I have a variety of food intolerances (wheat/gluten/soy/dairy plus all the artificial colours, flavours, preservatives etc), so I've been cooking from scratch for about 8yrs or more. Considering how much I hate cooking (oops, maybe this isn't the place to say that!) I've struggled with that! The TMX makes it all so much easier and less hassle, plus the kids can cook too which is awesome.

Hi Bek, welcome to the forum.  Nice to see you finally decided to join us in conversations.  Wondering if you know one of our other members up there who is into roller derby (Ceejay) - I know she sprukes this forum & the TMX whenever she gets the chance. Whether you hate cooking or not, unfortunately it is something us Mums have to do and with food intolerances it is even more important to cook from scratch as you have discovered.  If only all Mums realised this instead of gaily going ahead and letting them eat just anything because it is easier. Enjoy your time on the forum - write your password down so you don't forget it this time  ;D

Welcome Bek. I'm glad that the TMX has helped with the food intolerances.

Hi bek, sounds like we could get a Sunnie Coast TMX party happening one day. I'm too shy and house too small but maybe if you have a big deck and a pool we could all come over????  We can't let the Perthites have all the fun.

yep, I know her well ;)
in fact, it's entirely her fault that I bought the TMX... and the coffee machine... LOL!
then again, I was the one who dragged her along to roller derby so I guess we're even!

house is small, so that's not really going to work either I'm afraid, but there's an awesome coffee shop that would be a cool place to meet up if people were keen to do that!
